Welcome to America.
A friend of mine immigrated legally from China to the United States. He learned to speak English and studied to become a citizen.
Finally the day came when he passed his test and took the oath and became a citizen of the United States.
After the ceremony he greeted me with a smile and said the people of the United States sure know how to welcome him as a citizen and make him feel right at home.
How so I ask?
He handed me the United States Flag he was given after he was sworn in and told me to read the tag on the back of it.
I did. It said "Made in China!!!"
Ahh, only in America!!
Speaking of where is it made, because nothing is made in the USA any longer, today one has to know their geography when shopping.
Case in point, I was out shopping for a television the other day and I thought I should ask where it was from.
I said to the young salesman, "Where is this TV made?" to which he responded "I'm not sure. I'll have to go check the box it came in."
A few minutes later he returned and said with great confidence, "I found it. It said 'built in Antenna'!!!"
Well, that's another wrap for the week.
Just remember, I walk by night. I know many strange tales, many secrets hidden in the hearts of men and women who have stepped into the shadows. Yes, I know the nameless terrors of which they dare not speak. So stay tuned!!
