Guest Star Tyler
Today, my friends, I once again have a special guest writer on my blog.
Again I am honored to be the first to be allowed to publish to the world the following song lyrics written by my son, Tyler.
Beginnings End
Written By Tyler Wagner
I'm sitting silent and I'm waiting for this moment to pass,
Got thoughts like bullets and they're shooting through my vision so fast,
I'm getting blurry in a hurry just to see what becomes.
My energy runs through the veins of my pulse in time,
I hear the sound of falling teardrops and I know that I'll find,
The rolling thunder in the distance is the sound of my heart-beat-breaking.
No snow in the mountains on the fourth of July,
No knowledge in the problems of the passerby.
No life changing moments when you stare at the moon,
No time to smell the roses when they're not in full bloom.
No answer for your worries when you don't have a dream,
No chance to hear the silence when you're letting out screams.
No attraction to another when attracting yourself,
No invisible hope could ever come without stealth.
Oh, oh, oh I don't know,
I'm sick of all this worry but I can't let it go.
It's like a waking moment when I'm half asleep,
I'm just so ready to fall but not quite ready to leap.
I studied every answer in the book of hope,
I rained on a parade with such a fiery smoke,
I replayed images of all the life that I've seen,
Flew through the gates of Heaven and the sight was serene.
I sit and ponder all the wonder that this crystal ball holds,
This life's a card game and the winner is the one that won't fold,
I light a match and burn the pages of my past misery.
The running faucet in the kitchen is the sign of your dreams,
The ones that got away and now have left you with steady streams,
Of shallow waters and the sound of a thirst that's so-never-ending.
No warm embraces meet you in the cold of the night,
No taste of glory met without the struggle and fight,
No wisdom ever learned without the blinding of fear,
No chance for perfect vision when you're not seeing clear.
No star is ever reached when you won't let yourself fly,
No achievements ever seen when you can't see yourself try,
No correction comes from discipline that's M.I.A.,
No time to feel the rhythm of your beating heart sway.
Oh, oh, oh my beating heart tows,
A warm and wistful feeling from my head to my toes,
I'm feeling like a novice but with wisdom I grow,
In-to the warrior that I already know,
Is a pro, pro, I'm ready to blow,
Out every single candle that dismantles a glow,
I'm feeling like a stream that has teamed with the flow,
My legacy is mounting as I'm counting the rows.
I know, know, what it is that I hold,
The key to victory if I dare to be bold,
I've peeled through all the layers that were covered in dust,
I'm going all in and I’m not ready to bust.
I've been told, told, to let it all out,
I'm so ready to fly and say goodbye to the doubt,
I see the shadow of myself that I was long before,
And it's the shadow of a stranger that I just can't adore.
No more, more, I'm changing the score,
All the rest of my success will now undress from the core,
Of every single moment that I've left behind,
And every single moment that in time I will find.
Let's all go, go, and remember the names,
Of each and every person we let come in and change,
The direction of our lives and the freedoms that we felt,
Filled up with so much love we unbuckled the belt.
I melt, melt, melt in the sun,
That shines on me with endings that have never begun.
I'm burning like a flame that is picking up steam,
My star is shooting brighter than you've ever seen.
I'm a thousand feet above and there's no looking down,
I feel the world's weight release and fall to the ground,
I'm slowly inching higher and can finally see,
The image of my destiny in front of me.
I can see, see, see and believe,
It's so close to my arms that I can reach and retrieve,
And in the moment of my grasp I feel the energy,
Of my very first breath to death's uncertainty.
I see, see, oh I see everything,
I listen for the sound of a lonely heart sing,
I feel, feel, yes I feel for the bend,
That curves me around to the beginnings end.
Oh oh, oh, oh my friend,
We're heading down the road to the beginnings end,
Oh oh, oh, oh my friend,
The end is the beginning in the beginnings end.
Oh oh, oh, oh oh oh,
Oh oh, oh, oh oh oh
Oh oh, oh, oh oh oh
Oh oh, oh, oh oh oh…………..
These first published song lyrics are for all of you out there that will one day be able to say you knew Tyler when.
