C'mon Sing Along

I'm back and I have another song for you.

Today my friends I have a special guest writer on my blog who, unlike me, can actually write.

Once again I am honored to be the first to be allowed to publish to the world the following song lyrics written by my son, Tyler.

All right, put it to rhythm to get the flow and get jiggy with it!!

Get down today as it's time to make music.

As always, for anyone out there that would like to collaborate by putting music to the words, Tyler can be contacted through this blog's email address.

Ah 1 an a 2 an a 3...

Last Lullaby

Written By Tyler Wagner

Echoing thoughts, they rattle my brain,
A little bit crazy, a little bit sane.

Wondering words, screaming out loud,
To lessen your fears was forever my vow.

The edge of your touch, my body runs cold,
Deep in the ocean you’re buried like gold.

This vanishing act, forever in place,
The last drop of ink you can never erase.

This is the sound of my heart as it cries,
We’re nearing the end of the final goodbye.
Listen to this it’s your last lullaby.
Listen to this it’s your last….

I don’t know you, you don’t know me,
Beginning again with a soul that can see.

I struggle for peace, without and within,
I live for the lights in the city of sin.

But darkness it mounts, through all of my dreams,
I wake to the silence and sleep through the screams.

Days turn to night, night turns to day,
I gave you it all and you gave me away.

This is the sound of my heart as it cries,
We’re nearing the end of the final goodbye
Listen to this it’s your last lullaby.
Listen to this it’s your last…

Retrace the steps that were taken from me,
Replace the pain of your identity,
Remember the sound of your last lullaby,
Remember the sound, remember the sound…

Silence through tears, worry and pain,
Consumed with the chase without playing the game.

Shuffled through life, stopping to see,
Was I right for you or were you wrong for me.

Taking a chance and making a choice,
I’m deaf to your heart but I still hear your voice.

The smell of your taste, the warmth of your breath,
Six years of my life have resulted in death.

This is the sound of my heart as it cries,
We’re nearing the end of the final goodbye.
Listen to this it’s your last lullaby.
Listen to this it’s your last….

Retrace the steps that were taken from me,
Replace the pain of your identity,
Remember the sound of your last lullaby,
Remember the sound, remember the sound…

I’m dying for you and you’re living for me,
You gave me love wrapped in such cold misery.

You gave me your hand and I helped fit the ring,
We wrote melodies and you helped make them sing.

These puddles of tears, lay next to my sheets,
I slept with the poison and woke with defeat.

Alone with your voice, abusing what’s real,
Forgetting your face wasn’t part of the deal.

Whoooa, Whoooooooa,
This is the sound of my heart as it cries,

Whoooa, Whoooooooa,
This is the end of the final goodbye.

Whoooa, Whoooooooa,
This is the sound of my heart as it cries,

Whoooa, Whoooooooa,
Listen to this it’s your last lullaby.

Whoooa, Whoooooooa,
This is the sound of my heart as it cries,

Whoooa, Whoooooooa,
Remembering truth and forgetting the lies.

Whoooa, Whoooooooa,
This is the sound of my heart as it cries,

Whoooa, Whoooooooa,
This is the end of the last lullaby.

Well there you go folks. I'm sure you won't be able to get that song out of your head the rest of the day!!

Thanx to Tyler for allowing me the privilege of publishing his work!!
