Spare the Rod

OK OK, my post today will be shorter because 24 was on last night and my editor is such a huge fan of 24 she has a deadline as to when I have to get her my posts for the next day. So blame the contents of today's post on her!!

One has to wonder what direction and/or discipline kids are receiving from parents nowadays!!

Seven-year-old suspended for bringing gun to school

Indianapolis - IPS suspended a seven-year-old boy after he brought a loaded handgun to school Friday. He is a second-grader.

And he got the loaded handgun where?

7-year-old faces arson charge in PSL

An 8-year-old boy told school administrative officials that he let the 7-year-old boy borrow a lighter at the time of the incident. Asked why he set the bulletin board on fire, the 7-year-old said, "I don't know why I started the fire."

And the 8-year-old boy had a lighter why?

Family of first-grader accused of harassment sues school system

BROCKTON, Mass. -- The family of a first-grade boy who was suspended for allegedly sexually harassing a female classmate at his Brockton elementary school is suing the city and the school committee.

The boy, 6 years old at the time, was suspended for three days after the principal said he had violated sexual harassment policy by putting two fingers inside the waistband of the girl's pants

The lawsuit says the boy was "still obviously a child incapable of forming criminal intent under our common law, and obviously immature sexually from both a physical and a psychological awareness standpoint" when suspended.

I'm not too sure -- Interesting Fact: The world's youngest parents were 8 and 9 and lived in China in 1910.

And the kid never saw dad doing that to Mom or the Housekeeper?

Fifth-Graders Accused of Sex in Classroom

NEW ORLEANS- Five fifth-grade students face criminal charges after authorities said four of them had sex in front of other students in an unsupervised classroom and kept a classmate posted as a lookout for teachers.

Two 11-year-old girls, a 12-year-old boy and a 13-year old boy have been charged with obscenity for allegedly having sex in an unsupervised classroom in front of other students. An 11-year-old boy, the alleged lookout, was charged with being an accessory.

Authorities said the incident happened at the school, which houses students from kindergarten through 12th grade. A high school teacher normally watches the fifth-grade class at the time, but went to an assembly for older students and the class was inadvertently left unattended.

The class, which had around 10 other students, was alone for about 15 minutes.

"When no teacher showed up, the four began to have sex in the classroom with the other elementary students in the classroom with them.

Man, school ain't what it used to be. That 'no child left behind' act is really working.

It's good they started teaching sex education in school and at an early age. These last two stories will attest to how well that class has done!!

And they got their condoms where? At school, right?

It's obvious by the age and crimes that parents are not involved with their children except after they have done something wrong.

Then when the kids are caught, the parents become outraged at everyone other than themselves and their kids.

'Spare the rod, spoil the child' is the motto!! As you can tell from these stories that philosophy is working well, don't you think?

OK my peeps, I am outta here. Gonna go watch Jack Bauer kill good!! Check back tomorrow and see if my next story about a nice guy is finished!!
