Rollin'
OK we are back and rollin' now!
First things first, I am suing the state of California. Anyone in Nevada or in states bordering California can join my suit.
California, with all their anti-smoking laws including on the beach and outside with the constant breeze, is banning smoking there because of what they say are the dangers of second-hand smoke.
Well, for about a week now I have been forced to breathe their second-hand smoke and quite frankly, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
The smoke from their fires has blanketed our cities and forced us to breathe their second-hand smoke.
They should have either passed a law that lightning cannot start a fire, or at the very least, placed large fans at the border to blow the smoke back so it stayed in their state.
They were negligent and derelict in their duties, and I'm suing for big bucks!
How many of you knew this?
Foreign Companies Buy U.S. Roads, Bridges
WASHINGTON - Roads and bridges built by U.S. taxpayers are starting to be sold off, and so far foreign-owned companies are doing the buying.
On a single day in June, an Australian-Spanish partnership paid $3.8 billion to lease the Indiana Toll Road. An Australian company bought a 99-year lease on Virginia's Pocahontas Parkway, and Texas officials decided to let a Spanish-American partnership build and run a toll road from Austin to Seguin for 50 years.
Few people know that the tolls from the U.S. side of the tunnel between Detroit and Windsor, Canada, go to a subsidiary of an Australian company - which also owns a bridge in Alabama.
In 1956, President Eisenhower pushed to create the interstate highway system for a different reason: to move troops and tanks and evacuate civilians. The Bush administration's plan to let a foreign company manage U.S. ports met a storm of protest in February. But plans to sell or lease highways to companies outside the United States have not met such resistance.
Yeah, why not, why should we own anything here in the United states. We give and give!!! Remember we elect them!!! So now they can charge anything they want to cross their bridge.
By the way, the monies collected for toll roads and toll bridges were temporary fees until they paid for the construction costs. But somewhere along the way a politician saw it as a cash cow and kept it, and now another cash cow as they sell it.
Eisenhower never intended for this to happen. Can't you see it now, "Oh I'm sorry Captain, it's $22.50 each for those military vehicles, and no, we don't take credit cards so just turn those troops around."
Can you believe this?
Thanking Jesus in Court Lands Man in Jail
HONOLULU - Junior Stowers raised his hands and exclaimed, "Thank you, Jesus!" in court last month when he was acquitted by a jury of abusing his son. But his joy was short-lived when Judge Patrick Border held him in contempt of court for the "outburst" and threw him in jail. The judge had ordered both sides not to show emotion when the verdict was announced.
This is another stupid judge on a power trip.
Also for the record regarding the abuse, during trial, the boy recanted, according to court records. The boy instead testified his brother hit him with a car door, a story his brother verified in court.
Speaking of judges, check this out:
Who would have thought he’d have a knife? Cops: Man throws knife at judge after yielding hammer, fork, 2 other knives
YORK, Pa. - Court security workers missed a knife later allegedly thrown at a judge in a courtroom. Terry Lee Rehm, 58, was arrested Thursday after authorities said he threw a 13-inch butcher knife at Judge Michael J. Brillhart, who was seated on the bench. The knife went over the heads of several county employees and a defendant and sank into a wall to the judge's left. Also found on Rehm after he was taken into custody were a 4-inch knife, a 3-pound hand-held sledgehammer and a utility knife with a blade.
York Sheriff Bill Hose said Saturday that his deputies should have taken further steps after the man handed them a barbecue fork at the county courthouse Thursday rather than letting him pass inside.
So a guy hands you a barbecue fork and you just somehow don't notice a 13-inch butcher knife, 4-inch knife, a 3-pound hand-held sledgehammer, and a utility knife with a blade he has stuffed in his pocket. These guys are candidates for homeland security jobs.
Do we know how to do anything right anymore?
