Hard To Believe

Well, it's June 5th and there are 209 days left in this year.

On June 5, 1968, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated in Los Angeles' Ambassador Hotel after claiming victory in California's Democratic presidential primary. Gunman Sirhan Bishara Sirhan was immediately arrested.

Bob Uecker files restraining order against woman

Hall of Famer says 45-year-old has been bothering him for 6 or 7 years. In court filings, the 71-year-old former player said Ann E. Ladd has been bothering him for six or seven years by sending unsolicited gifts.

Typical of Uecker, it took him 6 or 7 years to figure out he didn't like the gifts!









NEW YORK - Singers performed a Spanish-language version of the national anthem at Ellis Island, once the gateway to America for more than 12 million immigrants.

About 100 people, mostly journalists and members of the music industry, attended the presentation Tuesday of the album “Somos Americanos (We Are Americans),” which features “Nuestro Himno” and other Spanish-language songs about the immigrant experience.

Sing all you want and push Spanish in our faces. This is The United States Of America - Speak English, or go home.







Cloned mule finishes third in Nevada race

Idaho Gem, the world's first equine clone, took third place and Idaho Star finished seventh in a 350-yard (meter) race against six naturally bred three-year-old mules at the Winnemucca Mule Race, Show & Draft Horse Challenge in Winnemucca, Nevada, the scientists said.

"This is a very athletic event, it takes a lot of energy and the animals have to be on top of their game. When the public has an opportunity to see this that's a very positive thing."
