It Came And It Went
It finally got here, a Fourth of July falling on a Friday giving us a three-day weekend.
What a weekend it turned out to be. Son Stacey took an extra day and drove down from Reno Wednesday night giving us an extra day to have him home.
Son Tyler was scheduled to accompany Stacey on the drive, however a job interview took priority so he flew down from Reno Thursday night.
Staying for the job interview was a good idea as Tyler was hired as a front desk person for Harrah's hotel.
The boys got to party with some of their friends on Friday, hang out with the parents the other days, and work on their tans.
Saturday, in celebrating the 4th of July weekend and Stacey's dog Chloe returning to town, a group of the dogs and people from the park came over for a barbecue.
With a 108 degree temperature here in Vegas we had a great turnout of 22 adults and 18 dogs hanging out.
Even though the heat affected a few people, the party seemed to be a success.
Summers are always hot in Vegas so why not have a get together and commiserate about the heat with friends.
The only bad part of the weekend was the boys leaving Sunday morning for their boring drive back to Reno.
The weekend was gone in a flash and now it is back to reality.
