A Message from Tyler

Once again I am honored to post a message from my son Tyler.

2008

As 2007 began to close its tired eyes and drift off for the very last time, I placed it in the cradle of my mind and rocked it gently to sleep.

Had I succeeded in accomplishing what I set out to accomplish? Did I stick to the resolutions I had made 365 days prior? Was I the same person closing the lid on 2007 and burying it for good that I was when I awoke to it like a newborn baby for the very first time? The answer; I don’t know.

I’m not exactly sure if the year brought about an abundance of change or a sea of insight. What I do know is that the year closed much like it opened; with a clear head, an open mind, and a beating heart.

I begin 2008 ready for the journey ahead and excited for the experiences to come. All we can ask for in this life is the opportunity to be risen to a new day…and if we are awarded that…the world is ours for the taking.

Whether you choose to take up a new hobby, accomplish a goal you set for yourself, read a book that’s been collecting dust on the shelf for far too long, or resolute to doing everything exactly the same as you did the previous year, I hope you do it well.
