I'm Just Curious......(part 3)

Why do slow drivers drive in the left lane of the freeway?

Why do people speed up when you are passing them?

Why are hurricanes, fires, floods, earthquakes, mud slides and levees collapsing considered a natural disaster?

Why aren’t there unnatural disasters?

Why, if one person loses their house to fire, flood, earthquakes, hurricanes and mud slides it is up to their insurance company to pay, but if several people lose their homes to the same, it is the government’s responsibility to pay?

Why do people sitting in a bar for hours drinking complain about the hazards of second-hand smoke, but think nothing about the hazards of driving drunk?

Why can alcohol sponsor stock car races but tobacco can’t?

Why is it ok to drink coffee, read the paper, shave / put on make up or eat while driving, but the cell phone gets all the blame for accidents?

Why do people run red lights?

Why did a normal 40-hour work week stop being normal?

Why don’t people have time for normal vacations anymore?

Why don’t people have more time for their families?

Why do corporations post a mission statement that always refers to great customer service that we never receive?

Why do corporations say they empower their employees to make decisions and then take away their power to think?

I like your questions but this one seems to have a good answer. I suspect that any man-made disaster would qualify, e.g., 9/11 or the sinking of a ship at sea due to carelessness of the crew.
