Kids' Christmas Wish Book

The holidays are over and we are back in action.

The holidays made me reminisce to a time gone by.

Christmas has come and gone again.

It was a special time, and this year I was thinking about Christmas when I was a kid.

The Sears and Roebuck catalog would come to the house and our wishes would begin.

Oh my, look at that cap gun and holster, and it comes with an extra box of caps.

Golly, a Hopalong Cassidy hat so I can play Cowboys and Indians. "Howdy pardner."

Hey, maybe a Lone Ranger mask. "Hi-Yo Silver Away"

Hee hee, a Mister Potato Head.

Ooh, look at that won't you, a toy front end loader to build a road around the metal syrup can that looks like a Log Cabin that I have strategically placed on a mound overlooking the wash.

What is that, a Larry Sherry autographed baseball glove? I love playing catch.

What Mom, I have to go to bed now, but I just got started. But Mom, just a few more minutes. Tomorrow is so far away and I won't be able to read the wish book until I get home from school. Yes ma'am after I get home from school and finish my homework.

The next day I breeze by the clothes and back to the toys. Wow, a metal dump truck that the bed tilts just like the real ones. Boy that would be handy to haul away the dirt my loader scrapes up when I am building roads.

Take a look at that would you, marbles. Not just any marbles but some parrots, cat eyes, peewees, shooters and aggies (agates) wow!!

Golly look at that, a Davey Crockett coon skin hat and a musket cap rifle.

Hey would you look at that thing, a Slinky. I wonder how that works?

A Dick Tracy watch, I wonder, maybe.

This page has Tinker Toys and look you can build a Ferris wheel and a windmill, oh and the next page has Lincoln Logs so I could build a cabin and fences for the horses.

Wait what do my eyes see, can it be just the greatest thing I have seen, a red Radio Flyer Wagon. Oh if only I could. I wonder if my dog can pull me if I were to get one?

Gee, one day maybe I will get one of those American Flyer electric train sets or even a Lionel, but I like the American Flyer because it has two rails just like real trains instead of three like the Lionel.

One day when I get older, maybe I will get a Remington bolt action 22 rifle like the one in the picture.

I bet I will get a Red Ryder BB gun first so I learn to shoot real good before I get a 22.

What the heck are those? A pair of roller skates that have a key and you mount them to your shoes.

Look at that, a battery operated 6 transistor radio with carrying case and earphone.

What Mom? Yes, I looked at the Ked tennis shoes, the white tee shirts, flannel pajamas and the Roebuck jeans, but Mom I always get those for Christmas.

Ah, Christmas past, nowadays for kids its Surround Sound, X Box, Nintendo, Cellular phones with custom ring tones, IPods, Blackberrys and laptops.

Life is good!!!!

Happy New Year!!

Welcome back to the blog that gives you more of less.
